Practice Tomorrow Wednesday 9/23
by posted 09/22/2020

Hello everyone, I hope your week is off to a good start.  I just want to remind everyone that we have practice tomorrow at 5:00 pm at B1.  Given the sunset situation, we will wrap at 6:30 and as we go forward, we may need to start earlier because at least at this point, I am not sure whether the lights will be on.  I realize this did not hit the schedule on the website and thus, the follow up email.  Please let me know if you will be able to attend.

I look forward to seeing you.

Tomorrow's Game/Scrimmage
by posted 09/18/2020

Hello everyone, I hope you are well.  Please note that we are scheduled for a game/scrimmage with the National team tomorrow as B1.  The start time is 11:00 so try to get there by 10:30. Be sure to bring you bat, helmet, glove, chair, water, mask and hand sanitizer.

If there is anyone who catches and has their own gear, bring it along.

We will be getting uniforms as soon as tomorrow but possibly not in time for the game so dress in baseball pants or sweats and a suitable shirt/sweatshirt.  I suggest you also bring a hat.

Unfortunately, I will not be able to make it tomorrow but Coach Plaisted will be ready to go.  Eric Olsen also volunteered to help tomorrow.  He coached some the kids previously.  If you can't make it, let me know.

It should be a lot of fun.  I look forward to hearing all about it and I look forward to seeing you all at practice on Wednesday.

Welcome to the Team!
by posted 09/17/2020

Good evening everyone.  I hope this message finds you and your families well.  I am excited to be coaching the team for the fall season and happy to have John Plaisted to coach with.  While Coach Plaisted and I know a few of you, we are looking forward to meeting you and spending the Fall season with you.

We are going to have a scrimmage against the "National" team on Satruday morning at 11:00 am.  We are waiting on the field assignment so please be sure to check back into the schedule page for information.  Please plan to arrive at the field at 10:30 am.

Since we did not have time for a practice before the first game, we would like hold a zoom call tomorrow afternoon at 4:00.  I will send details in a separate communication.  We are mindful of those observing Rosh Hashanah so tomorrow's zoom and Saturday's game are totally optional.  Please let Coach Plaisted or me know if you can't make it and have your questions ready.

Though we will review this on the zoom, there are a few saftey rules to go over due to our continued battle with Covid.

First off, all players should have masks with them at all times.  While they won't have to wear them when engaged in practice or a game (you certainly can if you wish) you should wear them around the fields before and after games or practices.

We will not be using the dugouts during the games in order to maintain social distancing.   Therefore, each player will need to bring their own chair to our games.  We will line the chairs up outside the playing field with six foot spacing.

We encourage all players to bring their own hand sanitizer.  Players are not allowed to share or handle equipment other than their own.  Therefore, be sure to bring your own glove, helmet and bat to our practices and games.  Please also be sure to bring your own water bottles.

When we are on the field for practice and during our games, we need to be mindful of social distancing so please be sure not to crowd together too closely.  We will keep players spaced out for drills, stretching, etc. If we ask you to "spread out" please comply.

For those players who will be catching, we will sanitize the catcher's gear between uses.

We are looking forward to a fun season.  Please be sure to contact me with any questions.  My cell number is 917-453-5228 and my email address is  If you text or send me an email, please proivde your name as text messages and some email addresses don't provide such information.
